MISSION

MAKE DISCIPLES

Because Christ has died, we will communally make disciples who have experienced the love and forgiveness of God.

CREATE SACRED SPACE

Because Christ has risen, we will worship him, and create sacred space in our lives, in our community, and in the world.

PARTICIPATE IN ACTS OF MERCY

Because Christ will come again, we will push forward his Kingdom in the world, in anticipation of his return, through acts of mercy.

ABOUT US

ABOUT US

Zoe Community is an urban Church Type Mission in the Church of the Nazarene.  At Zoe we strive to Make Disciples, Create Sacred Space, and Participate In Acts of Mercy.  We are strongly Wesleyan, and lean more towards the Anglican roots of our denomination.  As such, when you come to a worship service at Zoe you will find it to be quite "high church," but not too formal.  All are welcome at Zoe.

The word "Zoe" is an English pronunciation of a Greek word found in the New Testament.  While language is always hard to translate, the simple definition of Zoe is: eternal, spiritual life.  Not just a life in the future, but it is the life God wants us to have now.  At Zoe we are about exploring that life together.

Art

We believe beauty is essential to life and worship.  Zach is our Artist In Residence, and frequently paints during worship gatherings.  To watch a blank canvas transform to a beautiful painting in less than an hour is amazing.  Zach is also responsible for our set of Stations of the Cross, and many other pieces of art.  Please enjoy some of his art below.
